How do l know if Smileins is right for me?
Smileins is designed to work for minor to moderate alignment issues, including correctingspacing, crowding between teeth and rotation. Your at-home impressions will be used todetermine if you're a good candidate for Byte aligners. lf you're not, you'll get a full refundfor the price of the lmpression Kit.
Is there a minimum age requirement?
Smileins aligners can be used to treat people ages 12 and up. You must also have all of youradult teeth and get approved by the doctor who reviews yourimpressions. if you are under18, you will need your parent's consent
Can Smileins aligners help with crowding?
Yes! Crowding occurs when your teeth overlap due to insufficient jaw space. it's a verycommon issue that researchers say may be due to years of evolution and environmentalchange as our food became softer. We recommend getting started with an impression kit sothat your clinical team can assess the severity of crowding and create the best treatmentoption for you.
Can Smileins aligners help with spacing?
Yes! Spacing is when gaps exist between teeth. This can occur due to genetics, such ashaving smaller teeth, or due to behavioral habits, such as mouth breathing. Since spacingmay differ from person to person, sending us your impressions is the best way to getcustom treatment plan prescribed for your unique smile. lf you do not qualify for treatment.we'll refund you the cost of the lmpression Kit!
Can Smileins aligners help with my overbite/underbite/crossbite?
It depends. As there is a limitation to how much clear aligners, by themselves, can move theteeth, Byte cannot fully correct an overbite, underbite, or an open bite, which would requireeither traditional braces, attachments, rubber bands, expanders, and in some cases, jawsurgery. Byte aligners may in some cases be able to lessen the appearance of an overbite,however, through better alignment of incisors and canine teeth. Can Smileins aligners help with my midline?
A dental midline is the line between your two upper front teeth and your two lower frontteeth. This line does not always align due to differences in tooth size, missing teeth, orchewing only on one side of your mouth. Aligners cannot correct a midline, but canimprove the appearance through better alignment. Can l use Smileins aligners ifl have veneers?

Is there a warranty on my aligners or treatment?
Yes! During treatment, you are eligible for any additional aligners that might be needed toachieve the projected end result. Then, once treatment is complete, we stand by your smilefor life! Should your teeth shift out of alignment at anytime, we can have you evaluated forfurther treatment to bring the teeth back to that final smile.
What's required to keep your Guarantees intact?
Your treatment guarantees are contingent upon compliant aligner and retainer wear, asdetailed in our informed Consent and Guarantees documents. In short, we ask that youwear your aligners for the full, prescribed amount of time and hold onto all aligner setsuntil treatment is complete. I just had my wisdom teeth removed. ls it too soon to start treatment?
It's a good idea to wait six weeks after having your wisdom teeth removed to starttreatment with Smileins aligners. You might be able to start sooner if your surgeon says it'sokay, but you'll need to provide a signed release form from the office where you had theprocedure done.
I still have my wisdom teeth. ls it safe to start treatment?
In the vast majority of cases customers can proceed with Smileins aligners with presence ofwisdom teeth. Customers should consult with their family dentist or oral surgeon todetermine need and timing of wisdom tooth removal.
Can l use Smileins aligners ifl have a dental implant?
It's possible. Send in your impressions to find out for sure. lf you're not a candidate, you'llget a refund for the lmpression Kit.

Will my teeth hurt while l'm wearing Smileins aligners?
A little, maybe. Just like when you step up your workout at the gym, you’ll feel some soreness for a few days when you start wearing a new aligner. It’s a good sign. It means the aligner is working. If it’s really bad or lasts longer than a few days, we’re here for you. Contact us.
Are aligners safe to wear if l'm pregnant?
It's not unsafe, but we want you to be aware that pregnancy can cause your teeth to shift.which means you could need new impressions and aligners. Also, some people findaligning uncomfortable during pregnancy. We recommend waiting until you're notpregnant to start treatment with Smileins aligners.
Can l use aligners if l have a bonded retainer?
You can take impressions with your bonded retainer still in place. lf our team of Dentistsindicates you are a suitable candidate for Byte aligners, you will need to have your bondedretainers removed once you receive your aligners, and before you start your treatment.

Is my lmpression Kit refundable?
Your at-home impressions will give us the information we need to see if you are a goodcandidate for Smileins treatment. lf you're not, we’ll refund the full price of the lmpression Kit.
Can someone walk me through using the lmpression Kit?
Dental impressions and proper photos can be a little tricky. However, we've providedeverything you need, so it should be fun and easy. lf it's not, give us a call and we'll walkyou through it.
Treatment Plan
Can l see what |’'ll look like when i'm done with Smileins aligners?
Yes. After we receive your impressions and other information, we'll send you a 3Dvisualization of your current smile and what it could look like after your treatment with Smileins aligners.
How long does it take to straighten my teeth with Smileins aligners?
It's different for everyone, but the average treatment plan is 6-12 months.
Can l choose to only use my upper or lower aligners?
Unless you specifically opted for single-arch treatment when purchasing your treatmentplan, we ask that you wear both the upper and lower aligners you were sent. Your clinicalteam considers the full picture when reviewing your plan. For your health and safety, it'sbest to follow the plan as created!
Will Smileins aligners move my molars?
Nope! Smileins aligners do not move the molars in any treatment plan. In some cases, we maymove premolars.
How often should l wear my aligners?
Your aligners should be worn 22 hours per day, as often as possible! Takeyour aligners out to eat, drink, and brush your teeth. Other than that, it's best to leave themin around the clock.
When should I change my aligners? Morning or evening?
We recommend changing your aligners at night before bed.
What happens if l lose, break or crack an aligner?
No big deal. lf an aligner is lost or damaged, please contact us so we can order areplacement. Depending on whether or not you're enrolled in our Byte Protection Plan, thisreplacement may be free. While you're waiting for your replacement aligner, please wearthe previous one so you don't lose progress. Disclaimer: Aligners are popular around kids.dogs, cats and the occasional raccoon. Keep them out of reach!
How do l change my profile information or address?

Ifl am sick, should l keep wearing my aligners?
Yes, it's fine to keep wearing them unless you're severely ill or actively vomiting. lf youhappen to vomit with your aligners in, you should take them out and clean them rightaway.
Can lsmoke or vape while wearing my aligners?
We strongly advise against smoking and vaping in your aligners, as it can causediscoloration or damage to the aligners or even your teeth.
Can l skip over aligner sets?
No, please don't! Your aligners are designed to move your teeth at an optimum pace that isneither too slow nor too fast. lf your aligners aren't fitting properly at any point, reach outby completing a support request.
When l reach the end of my aligners, what do l do?
Once you're within the final 2 weeks of your treatment plan, it's time to discuss orderingyour first set of retainers. These retainers will lock in your final smile! Please complete asupport request during these final two weeks so we can review your progress and makesure you're ready to take this exciting leap. You may also order your retainers solo byheading to our retainers listingin our store.
Can l wear my aligners for less than 14 days each?
Aligners should never be worn for less than 14 days. Your teeth need this time to movesuccessfully and safely. in some cases, your clinical team may even recommend wearingeach aligner set for longer than the 14 full days to give the teeth some extra care.
Which drinks are acceptable while wearing the aligners?
While wearing the aligners, we ask that you do not drink any beverages except for stillwater. Sugar, dyes and carbonation can all damage the aligners or even introduce oralhealth concerns. And yes - this does include drinking through a straw!
After l wear an aligner set, can l throw it away?
Stop right there! As a requirement of your treatment, all aligner sets must be kept until thetreatment is complete and the retainers are received. lf an aligner is lost or broken, or if youhave concerns about the fit, we may ask you to step back into previous aligners. You canplace used aligners back in their original packets for easy storage.
I want to get dental work done. ls that okay?
During the course ofyour treatment, Byte strongly advises against any dental work. Aprocedure as simple as a filling or restoration can transform the shape of the tooth, causingthe aligners to not fit from that point forward. For this reason, it's important to inform yourclinical team of any upcoming procedures that could interfere with the success of yourtreatment. Please note that any non-emergency dental work voids the SatisfactionGuarantee moving forward.
What do l do if l think my aligners aren't fitting properly?
By the end of each aligner set, you should notice that your teeth and the aligners arematching right up with no air gaps. This means that you're right on track! lfyou reach theend of an aligner set and are still seeing a mismatch between the aligners and the truepositions of your teeth, please complete a support request. in your email, please includephotos of your teeth with the aligners both on and off, and specify which aligner set you'reusing. Your clinical team can review the information and take steps to keep you on trackwith your plan as needed!
I opened my aligner packet and there's only one aligner. What happened?
No need to worry! More than likely, this means that you've reached the end of treatment forone row of teeth. A treatment plan is usually longer on one row of teeth than the other-thisis normal. Please continue wearing the final aligner for that row as prescribed. Then, whenyou're within the final two weeks of the entire treatment plan, contact Smileins Support so wecan discuss sending your retainers.
